Smart Coin-Operated Milk Dispenser
Project is based on:
Control unit based on an MCU processor. It manages coin acceptance, displays remaining credit, and triggers the PLC to dispense specific amounts of milk.
Communication unit based on a Linux board. It records coins inserted and milk dispensed, saving all data in a backed-up database. The unit also provides remote firmware updates for the control unit and includes a clear, intuitive web-based user interface.
Google services handle notifications by email in case of network outages or low milk levels in the dispenser. A customer-facing web page displays the current milk status in the machine.
